The Royal Trek

The Royal Trek- 6 nights/07 Days

Introduction:

This four days trek is possibly the shortest and the most beautiful trek that commences from west Nepal, the Annapurna Region. The trekking program covers Pokhara, the valley of lakes, offering panoramic views of the Machhapucchre, Annapurna and Manaslu massifs. This route was first trekked by HRH the Prince of Wales in 1980 and hence is known as the ‘Royal Trek’. This is the best trek for those who want to experience village life and striking mountain views in a relatively short period of time, and of course bounce up into the nature for a while, a trek of difference!

Itinerary

Day 01 (05 Oct)-Arrive Kathmandu

First day in the capital city of Nepal, get received at airport and drive to hotel, meet the guide at hotel for a trip briefing, overnight in the hotel.

Day 02 (06 Oct): Kathmandu to Pokhara > Kalikasthan

Get transferred to airport for a short scenic flight to Pokhara, the 30 minutes flight takes right over the mountains, giving magnificent views of the snow-capped peaks. Landing in Pokhara is another enjoyment; the small valley is beautified by pretty lakes.

Upon reaching to Pokhara, catch a vehicle and drive to Vijayapur Khola, the beginning point of the trek. Beginning of the trek is over the paddy fields and flat lands across the river. Across the river the trail ascends up to Kalikastahn.Overnight camp/hotel.

Day 03 (07 Oct): Syaklung

The trails immediately enter into the Gurung village, and then carry on over the ridge with mystical views of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna.

Day 04 (08 Oct): Chisapani

Walk through the Gurung Village, rhododendron and Sal forest. Half way through the walk there comes first descent and then equal amount of ascent, but both activities are minimal, this ascent is a platform to Chisapani, viewing point to Dhaulagiri and Annapurna West.

Day 05 (09 Oct): Begnas Tal > Pokhara

Walk a half way down hill to Rupatal and climb approximately 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda, quick descent down to Begnas Tal. Spend some time boating in Begnas Lake and then drive to Pokhara. Check in to hotel and relax by the lake side in Pokhara.

Day 06 (10 Oct): Drive back to Kathmandu

Take the road to experience the highways of Nepal, the drive is interesting as the road goes along the beautiful rivers, through different villages and settlements. Depending on the traffic and road condition, it takes about 6 hours to reach Kathmandu.

Day 07 (11 Oct): International departure

End the tour
